  • Inspect the main lugs, busbars, and neutral bars for signs of heat cycling.
  • Check for rust in the panel housing, or around the circuit breakers.
  • Check for loose or damaged outlets and switches.
  • Look for soot or blackened paint around existing outlets or switches.
  • Test all GFCI outlets for proper function.
  • Test the existing smoke detectors for age and function. (If over 10 years old, recommend replacement)
  • Check for fire extinguishers.
  • Check for carbon monoxide detectors if the home has an attached garage or gas heat. (Should be one on each level)
  • Provide an estimate for upgrades where needed.
